The numbering of the chapters does not conform to the MEW-edition. This seems to be a result of a decision to publish two volumes against the original three.
The first volume of the Portugese edition contains volume (Band) 1 of Capital, as well as two of the three sections (Abschnitte) of volume 2. Wereas the German edition restarts numbering the chapters with volume 2, the Portugese editions numbers all chapters in one series. Moreover, it numbers some smaller units as chapters.
The second volume of the Portugese edition contains the rest of volume 2 and volume 3 of Capital. The chapters are renumbered continuously from 1 to the end of volume 3, so that chapter 1 in the 2nd volume of the Portugese version corresponds to chapter 18 in the third section of volume 2 of the German version.
